To Market To Market...

We finally made it to the Farmer's Market! Our town has a little Market in the downtown area of Main Street. It's such a quaint little place, and I'm looking forward to weekly trips this summer. Hopefully, I'll have my own table there one day. I'd love to sell market skirts, and sweet dresses made from up-cycled button down shirts.

I'm not a big radish eater... but these looked so scrumptious! I'm looking forward to having them in a salad tonight.

One of these days, I'd love a wildflower garden... a place where the kids can pick flowers, and chase butterflies! Unfortunately for me, my thumb is not so green. Maybe I'll have more time in the future to address that???

Look at this sweet girl. Her expression says it all! She is very suspicious of strangers, and is sloooow to warm up. Once she does, she'll pull on your heart strings! She loves her Uncle Bubba, and kept hold of his hand while we shopped around.

Ummmm... sweet onions. I just look at these and think about the love and care that went into growing them. I love the thought of eating local, and supporting the farmers around our community. You can't help but inspire to live more healthily after walking along all this yummy fresh food.

I could just sit down and eat those carrots just as they are! They are so dang cute! They make me think of Pooh Bear and Rabbit...

There will be live music every Tues evening starting next week. I can't wait! I'm looking forward to watching my kids dance around and make new friends. Maybe we'll bring bubbles, too. :)

And, I just had to add this sweet picture. Sweet, because it tells a story of our baby's personality. Just look at that serious face!!

Summer has started for us, and we are enjoying a new routine of sleeping in, and staying in jammies for awhile longer than usual! I love this part of summer. It's so crazy how the summer vacation, that seems so vast in the beginning, shrinks when you start filling it with summer activities. We have tennis, swim, gymnastic, karate, vbs, and a week day camp all penciled in our calendar... and now I'm trying to find the gaps to make some little summer trips as well. Before we know it, we'll be welcoming another school year. craaaa.zzzzy. Off to enjoy this time while it lasts!

winter wonderland

We had quite the snowfall this weekend. I think it snowed for about 12 hours straight on Friday! School was canceled, and we enjoyed staying in our PJ's all day and watching the snow fall.

We woke up Saturday morning to a backyard calling our name to play. Well, everyone's but Charlotte's. She preferred the comforts of indoor heat and hot cocoa.

Icicles turned into swords.
And crunchy treats.

crunch. crunch.

look at the beautiful untouched snow. bliss.

I'm itching to sew. I have lots of creations swimming in my head. I'm determined to get started when these kiddos go back to school! I'm also dreaming of a craft/inspiration/hiding spot. It'll be a lot of work... but I'm getting geared up for it! More of that to come later...
